The Corporation plans to solicit donations from a number of sources. First from individual practitioner members who are already committed to join The Educational Martial Arts System, Inc. ("TEMAS"). Next from the community at large who benefit from the educational programs provided by TEMAS. The local public and private schools will also donate funds in exchange for the martial arts training programs and educational support that will be provided. The software research and development work, as well as testing of various martial arts equipment and certifying of such, will also generate interest from all kinds of professional, manufacturing, be they public or private groups willing to contribute to TEMAS. Royalties are expected to begin in calendar year 1992 from the sale of videos, audio, games, software and written materials now prepared all of which will be used to support the work of TEMAS.
TEMAS will use all revenues for the support and maintainance of the various educational products, programs, and services which will be available to public and private organizations, whether for profit or not, as well as to individuals who can benefit from same. In addition to the above, TEMAS will, on a qualifying basis, make available grants and/or scholarships to primarily individual martial artists who have reached certain levels of excellence in their educational pursuits. The rules, qualifications and amounts for these grants and/or scholarships will be determined by the Board of Directors.
By providing educational, tutorial and training programs (via instruction, video, audio, games, software or written) to members of TEMAS, monthly memberships are expected to grow at a predictable rate. Also, by providing an unbiased opinion regarding the safety, durability, and effectiveness of all available martial arts equipment, and publishing the results for the benefit of both industry and user, TEMAS expects to receive research and development donations or fees. TEMAS also has, and will continue to develop needed software for the use of both public and private organizations.
The Board of Directors will be persons of high integrity and experience, and will have the ability to contribute to the efforts of TEMAS.
